I am a graduate student studying Patristics. I graduated with a Master of Arts in May 2007, and I am currently in the Master of Theology program at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. My current area of research is Patristic Scriptural Exegesis, though I also dabble in Patristic Theology, Hymnography, Systematic Theology, and Church History. I have a background in biblical studies, Coptic studies, Second Temple Judaism and literature, and the geography and culture of the biblical and early Christian world, and I try to integrate these into my current research.
I am married to my husband, Fr. Gregory Wassen, and we have one child, a son named Cassian.
If you found this site because you think you might know me and want to get into contact with me, I have a profile on Facebook which I use primarily to stay in contact with my worldwide friends. I am listed there with my hyphenated name.

Good morning Sarah,
I see that your summary includes St. Thekla, Isapostle. I do not know if it is any help to you; however, I have been to St. Thekla’s Monastery in Maloula and would be glad to share any information with you. You, too, may have been so anything I would have to share might be redundant.
God bless you.
In Christ’s Love, Diane
